Case Study
I presented the roadmap to the management team. The logic was undeniable, and the POC proved the performance gains. It was unanimously approved.
More importantly, this blueprint wasn't a "Big Bang" deployment. By ensuring the new FastAPI layer perfectly mimicked the old one, we unlocked the ability to release iteratively. We could build a module, launch it, validate it, and move on.
In Chinese engineering culture, we call this "小步快跑" (Small steps, fast run). We had successfully deconstructed the monolith without stopping the clock. The evolution of System 2.0 had officially begun.
But a blueprint approved in a boardroom is just a theory. The real question was whether it would survive contact with a decade of messy, real-world data. That test came in March.
