Case Study

The Relapse

On the fifth day, a familiar email hit my inbox: another order discrepancy report.

The relief was short-lived. The database connection pooling fix had significantly alleviated the server pressure, but it was just a mitigation. It hadn't cured the disease; it had just treated the symptoms. The underlying root cause was still lurking in the system.

We were back in a state of institutional dread. Staff trust in the system was eroding, and the integration subcontractor was increasingly defensive. We were clueless, having already addressed the obvious performance and transaction bottlenecks.

I needed a new perspective. I turned to AI to act as a logic sounding board, hoping to brainstorm possibilities we might have overlooked.

What's the call?
